Student passcodes are unique 4-digit codes assigned to each student. Students are required to memorize these passcodes, as they are used to sign in and out for breaks. The purpose of the passcode is to ensure that students cannot sign out under another student's name.
The passcodes are generated using a hashing function based on each student's combined first and last names. This method guarantees that each student has a unique and consistent passcode, regardless of which teacher or class they are in. Since the passcode is not tied to specific teachers or classrooms, it remains the same even if the student changes classes or teachers, it ensuring continuity for the student across different settings.
A list of student passcodes can be downloaded and printed by navigating to the "Manage Students" menu in the dashboard and pressing the "Download Passcodes" button.
Yes, teachers can clear the queue and sign in studnets who forgot to sign back in. Click the red à button in the navigation bar to immediately end all active breaks and clear the break queue.
